Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Brower received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in neuropsychology from the Arizona School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University, Phoenix Campus (APA-approved). He completed his APA approved internship in North Carolina, splitting his time in geriatric psychiatry at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC, and outpatient and inpatient neuropsychological services at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. He later completed his post-doctoral residency here in Tucson, where he assessed patients who were referred from multiple backgrounds (e.g., primary care, neurology, psychiatry, psychology).
Dr. Brower obtained his Certified Specialist in Psychometry (i.e., the science of measuring mental capacities and processes) through the Board of Certified Psychometrists in 2016. He later obtained board certification in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2022, which is currently the highest level of specialty in his profession. He is also a member of multiple associations including, but not limited to, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, and Arizona Neuropsychological Society.
Dr. Brower completed his Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Human Intervention Motivational Study (HIMS) training in 2022. He is the only aviation neuropsychologist in southern Arizona who can perform FAA / pilot evaluations, which includes administration of the CogScreen. These evaluations are designed to rule out any aeromedically significant cognitive deficits or disqualifying conditions that may impact an individual’s ability to safely perform their duties as a pilot.
Dr. Brower is a born and raised Tucson native. He enjoys spending his time outdoors, with regularly hiking, rock climbing, camping, and long-distance hiking in the wilderness. Other hobbies include table top games and bowling, as well as traveling the world. Otherwise, he enjoys relaxing at home with his cat and dog.
