Scott Belanger, Psy.D. is an Arizona Licensed Psychologist and fellowship-trained Clinical Neuropsychologist. His clinical practice focuses on evaluation of adult patients with brain injury, neurological disorders, mild cognitive impairment and dementia, neurovascular disease, and psychological and medical conditions that can affect brain functioning.
Dr. Belanger provides Medical-Legal and Expert Witness Services and is a recognized expert in a variety of forensic matters. He utilizes the most up-to-date, scientifically validated instruments, and he integrates the current research literature to evaluate and opine on matters germane to the case in question. Independent Neuropsychological Examination (IME), Forensic Case Consultation, and Expert Testimony are available. Areas of expertise include but are not limited to neuropsychological damages to adults related to auto accidents, traumatic brain injury, and medical malpractice. Dr. Belanger can be retained in other civil matters such as disability, Workers’ Compensation, and decision-making capacity (medical, financial).
Dr. Belanger received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Arizona School of Professional Psychology (APA-approved) and completed his APPIC-approved pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency under the supervision of a board-certified neuropsychologist in a group private practice setting, splitting time between inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological services. He has functioned for many years as a clinical supervisor for pre-doctoral externs and interns, as well as post-doctoral fellows in neuropsychology.
Outside the office, Dr. Belanger enjoys spending time traveling with his family and exploring the Sonoran Desert’s breathtaking landscape. Any endeavor that leads to engagement with the natural world and a chance to discover something new is welcomed.
