Laura Brennan, PhD
Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Brennan received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She was in the Neuropsychology Track at Drexel, and completed her predoctoral internship at the University of California San Diego/San Diego VA Health System. She completed a two-year neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, which included training at the Philadelphia VA Parkinson's Disease Research, Education, and Clinical Center (PADRECC). She previously practiced in academic hospital settings in Philadelphia, including Drexel University College of Medicine and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. At Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, she was the lead neuropsychologist for the Cognitive Disorders Division, and the Movement Disorders Division including the Deep Brain Stimulation Program.
Dr. Brennan's clinical practice primarily focuses on adult and geriatric patients including evaluation of mild cognitive impairment, dementia, movement disorders, and other medical and psychological factors which may impact cognitive functioning. She has extensive experience in differential diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, as well as pre and post surgical evaluations for patients with Parkinson's disease undergoing deep brain stimulation. She currently serves as a member of the International Movement Disorders Society Task Force on Integrated Care in Parkinson's Disease. In her free time, Dr. Brennan enjoys traveling, yoga, concerts and local live music events, and spending time with friends and family.
